Christmas gifts

I finally finished. The quilts that I started TWO YEARS ago for my brother and sister finally made it to the recipients this year. Pretty sure they would have won best gift if my brother Kevin hadn't made us sweet Tron jackets.

I gave Kevin's to him two years ago for his birthday. He was taking a nap so we just put it on him for the picture.

Fall

So our table was quite barren and we didn't have a table cloth so I made this table runner and then today while I was waiting around to go on this date I was really excited about I distracted myself by attempting these pumpkins I saw on pinterest. I think they turned out okay and I plan to make a couple more.

I made this Halloween quilt last year and quilted it on the quilting machine in Wyoming. I love how it turned out. I don't know that you can see it very well but I quilted it with a pumpkin design and was and still am quite proud of it.

This has nothing to do with fall. My roommates sister in law had a baby back in August and I finally got it bound and it's now ready to be given away.

A shot at burp clothes

These fish ones I sent to my friend Krissy who just had twin boys. They turned out so cute. My friend Dana gave me the idea to make the burp rags. I decided that receiving blankets would be better to send to Arizona than quilts would

Little Zeke got the fireman ones. My friend Kevin from college and his wife just had a cute little boy.

Sent this one to my third mission companion who had a baby girl.

I've made two quilts very similar to this before. My friend Ashley just had a girl and John Deere was so perfect for her, but she was having a girl! So I added some pink. Now it works for a girl. At least I think so.

Stocking up

So I went to Rexburg this weekend to run in the Dam marathon and while I was at home I decided to get some receiving blankets made to have on hand since all of my friends seem to be having babies lately and I don't seem to have the time I wish I had to make quilts for them. I figure from what I've heard you can never have too many receiving blankets. I was also going to try to make burp clothes out of cloth diapers but couldn't find the cloth diapers so that project will have to wait until another day.

Babies, babies everywhere

So I feel like everyone I know that can be pregnant is. Or actually now they aren't because they've since had their babies, but I feel like I've just been going, going, going to try and get some done so I have them on hand. The one above is for Camille's little baby as is the receiving blanket with Elsie on it. Jane is the daughter of my friend Lucy.
I've always wanted a stack of quilts that I made. I don't know why. Only two of the ones in this stack are actually finished. The others still need to be bound. Hopefully I can keep up the momentum I've had for the last two weeks and get a couple more tops ready and then plan a trip out to Wyoming. Especially since Aubrey won't be teaching out there anymore. Gotta get it all in while I can.

Update

This one I started with the intent of giving it to my cousin who has a thing for frogs and just had a baby, but then my roommate gave me about 4 seconds notice that she needed something for her friend. I finished it in record time. The binding isn't what I would have liked. I had to go to the neighbors house and use their table to sew on since we were in the process of moving and didn't have a table anymore. Needless to say it was a headache and next time I'm just going to tell whoever too bad. I need more time.

This one was for my friend who came to visit with her ADORABLE baby. I made it in a day and sadly she had already left town when I went to give it to her, so I still have it.

I made this one for an auction we had in my ward for our Sub-for Santa. It was kind of busy but I thought it was still fun.
