The Machine

So this was after 9 hours of quilting. My back was killing me!

I did 6 quilts!!! It took me a while to figure out what I was doing, get the tension right, put it on the frame correctly, but the end result was fantastic. Now I just need to get a few more tops finished so can make another trip and enjoy myself some more!

This one is fun. Just made of scraps. Gave it to a lady at my church.
This one turned out so great. I love it! Gave it to an old roommate.

This was my parents anniversary gift.

Boy version of the pink one. I gave this one to my cousin for his baby that was born on Christmas day.

Originally I was making this for my sister, but I decided I liked it too much and kept it for myself.
This was a Christmas present for my sisters best friend.

Birthday present for my brother Kevin.

This one was a fun one because of the different edge. Gave it to my friend Janel. It was a big hit. I had to make another one in boy colors for her son so he'd quit carrying around the baby's.
I gave one of these to my cousin and another I donated to a charity race for my roommate who had to have surgery.

I just loved this fabric. Very 70's? It just turned out so cute.

In Love

So this past Labor Day weekend I went to Wyoming to visit my friend Aubrey and go to the Mountain Man Rendezvous in Fort Bridger. It was a great trip and we had loads of fun. On Friday night we needed the internet and couldn't get it to work at Aubrey's house so we decided to head over to the school where she teaches so we could use the internet. Facebook is very important when you have a blind date. :) Well we get to the school and I got to play with the Gigantic Quilting Machine in her classroom (she teaches home ec.). I am now hooked and have a goal to get a few more quilt tops done so I can take them all with me and finish them on her machine. It was so much fun.

I made this for my mom to give to a friend of hers. Then she broke her foot and didn't get the binding on. I'm sure it's still sitting at home and the ladies baby is all grown up now.
I just loved the bright colors of the fabric. I didn't even buy the different pieces at the same time, it just worked out perfect.
This quilt now resides in Alaska.

This quilt was inspired by the other "Be" quilt I made. It turned out really well and I have another one planned but in green instead of pink.
